    Default A few questions.

Hmmm here are a few things i kinda want to understand.

1.Fire Arrows: what's the difference by turning it on? i thought it was trading some accuratecy for dmg? but not too noticable IMHO...

2.War crys and mystic chants : whats the effective range/time? and war cry only effect ur own units while chant effect both right? so is it a good idea to have a druid just chant all the way during a fight?? do multiple chants/cries stack ? (i'm pretty sure not but hey) cause just starting to play the barbarian factions and i can see why they really need it... their moral break faster than glass....

3.time limit: why do some fights have time limits while others don't? in my first brutiis campaigh i can't recall one fight that had a timer (later on anyway... has to do with battle size???)

4.Reinforcements etc: why some fights both army appear adn the AI control ur allies while other times u get to control? family member leading and max unit u can have on the field or something?

5.troop supporting cost: when u have troops stationed in settlements your settlements pays for their finace... but when your troops are outside? do they pay more or what? if so does placing them in forts make any difference?

Thx in advance for enlightening me on some of these questions.

    Default Re: A few questions.

    1. Fire-arrows cause fear to the receiving unit(s). They are also effective
against wooden things such as chariots and siege towers.

    2. War cries and such are supposed to boost your own moral and demoralise the enemy. I didn't use/need it much playing the Germans, but I read somewhere that druids are very usefull to the Gauls.

    3. All fights have time-limits, but there's a bug with this: if you start but not finish a historic battle just before you begin a new campaign there will be no time-limit at all throughout that campaign. In the 1.2-patch you should be able to turn off the time-limit in siege-battles (so I heared).

    4. If reinforcements are led by a general then the computer commands them, you command them when a captain is in charge. You can command a maximum of 20 units at a time, so the only way of having more units on the field at the same time is if they are controlled by an AI-general. After you install the patch you will be able to choose before the battle which army you control.

    5. All your cities pay for the upkeep of the entire army according to their population, the location were you train or station troops has no effect on the distribution of the costs.

    Hope this helps...
