    Default Marius Reforms question

Is it possible to assign "and marian_reforms" (in the export_descr_buildings.txt) to non-roman factions and have the units work when the Romans get the "Gaius Marius Reforms" event (and ofcourse they won't be buildable before it)?
    Has anyone tested this yet?

I personally would like to assign Silver Shield, Armenian and Numidian Legionaries to the event and rather not see the Seleucids, Armenians and Numidians running around with these units before the Romans get their Legionaries.

Yes, any unit or building can use this as a requirement.

I have another question about the Marian reform.

Is it possible to change the date of the trigger ?
    In descr_events, there's
    ";event a_new_man__gaius_marius
    ;date 154 summer"

Obviously, it is the trigger for the Marius reform. But what are the ';' for ? Are they relevant to the trigger, or can I change the date with no fear ?

You notice the semi-colon before this... it is commented out so this event does not occur... I think it is a legacy entry from before the addition of the dynamically determined Marius Reforms date...

Wonder if it would still work if you uncommented it?

Perhaps yu could make the construction of Imperial places then dependant on the Marius event itself forcing it to occur on a specific date???

Well, what I'd like to do is to have a kind of reform event for hellenistic faction in the Successors TW mod.

I haven't played RTW 1.2 so I don't really know how does the reform work now, but I think that a roman faction must build the reform building (governor's palace) in Italy so the reform happens. Is that true ?
