    Question AI building temples

I haven't played Rome with the 1.2 patch yet so I have a question about it.

The "bug" when an AI faction took over a region they didn't tear down the old temples to build their own. It was really annoying to see the romans rule over a province with a celtic shrine! Has this been fixed?

Some barbarian temples gives huge bonuses to ranged units so I often will not tear down a temple in a city I take, but yes it is strange that the ai never seems to change the temples in cities it takes.

LOL, its a tactic I use to my advantage actually when I have to cede a city.

For instance if I'm playing a game as Greece and I don't feel like fighting the Romans for a while (at least not right from the start), I usually abandon Syracuse, selling off all the buildings there, but I will build a shrine to a god the Scipii have no subsitute for.

Puts a serious crimp in their efforts in the city to maintain order therafter.

Petty I know, but then I'm playing as the Greeks, so I decide to be 'overnice' to the new owners by providing them with a free temple

i personally dont try to annoy my enemies into subbmision i prefer to kill there generals slaughter there armies and massacre there people under the eyes of my own god...but as greece i always lose syracuse so thats a good idea.

Holding onto Syracuse can be a good challenge especially when the Carthaginians take a stab at you as well. But I usually just dump it because I want to focus on Greece first and avoid the Romans for a while whilst I pick off Macedon and expand into Asia Minor.

The little temple trick makes it easier later on to retake Syracuse, sometimes you may not even have to retake it, just send in a spy and let it revolt back to you.
