After installing the patch i got this problem. After a battle and returning to the strat map the entire map turned white. Well all land turned white (and its not snow).
Anyone knows how to fix this?![]()

You don't need to lose it, to know that you had it.
Yes mine turns to black instead, very strange indeed. I have found that changing resolution fixes it but i don't wanna have to do that after every battle.

Change your unit shaders.
"The game [M2TW] is actually more balanced than rock/paper/scissor. Combinations that work: rock vs rock - paper vs paper - scissor vs scissor.

Due to my lack of complete modding knowledge and technical ability with RTW, plz do explain in more detail.

David and Coldknight, what video cards are you using?
As Celtibereo suggest, adjusting graphics, particularly shaders could clear this up. Another thing you might be able to do is change just about any video setting and get the video to "reset" to a normal value.
Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.
Geforce4 64mb card, it runs everything else fine, just after i installed the patch i started having these problems.

I made a thread about this, except all the seas on the map were turning black. I haven't found a permanent solution to stop this from happening, but minimizing your game window (ALT+TAB) then opening it again sets it back to normal... untill the next battle and back...
