Night Time Battles in Campaign?

Sorry if this has been touched upon multiple times, but is there a way to get into night time battles in the campaign? Waiting doesn't work, unless I want to change the weather to suit my archers, and I don't know if just running the clock, even with time extensions for sieges will just eventually progress into night time.

siege combat did go on through many nights of course. Positions are static in sieges and therefore you dont have the problem of losing control of massed formations once the sun sets.
