    Default Question about withdrawal

I'm facing two roman armies, one of which is beseiging my city. The second is smaller than the first. If I attack the smaller with a small relieving army I get a battle map that includes both Roman armies but not my army from the city. My plan is to wipe out the small roman army with my cav then withdraw before the large army has time to engage.

Will I loose xtra men (other than actual battle casualties) by withdrawing in this way with 1.2 (I dont have a skull symbol on my unit with the battle setup) ? It seems to me that withdrawing armies had a tendency to 'disappear' with 1.0.

no when they see you wipe their fellow army out they will retreat also other units esspecially on bridge fights the other army will retreat forces so they wont be destroyed also happens when greatly outnumbered it's an feature
lots of players also do it
