Default Black & White / Black & White: Creature Isle

My computer runs on an intergrated graphics chip...and I'm broke, so that pretty much limits me to old games. So I copped this cause it was the game and the expansion for only $15.

This game took a while to figure out all the aspects but once I did it's extremely addictive. You also actually become emotionally attatched to your creature after a while, all the time you spend training him, rewarding him, etc. Never had a game do that (though people say this happens in that PS2 game Eiko (sp?))

This is also the only "god" game I've been feeling since Populous on SNES.

For the price, you guys need to check this out.

    Sounds like a fun game.

Enjoyed B&W, and am waiting on the sequel - maybe this time I won't be so sickly good - my realm was bathed in rainbows and things when I played B&W. Of course, it takes mere seconds to go right the other way.

I liked the mouse gestures so much that I now use them with Firefox...
Don't have any aspirations - they're doomed to fail.

    Rumours...

B&W is addictive, but training the creature is more worthwhile than the Godly part of the game in my view.

I started off as a saintly Good god in B&W, but as the campaign progressed I gradually went Evil as it got more and more difficult to look after the ever-whining Villagers, with their demands.

After suffering attacks from the other gods and shortages of supplies, I got the blame for everything and my alignment sank like a stone. In my experience after Land 2 its very hard to remain on the Good path due to the chronic shortages of wood and food in the later lands.

It was quite a contrast for me having a spikey temple and and Goody-two-shoes Creature later in the game.

Creature Isle was a lot more fun, being able to mess around with the creature and play those funky games, that one with the guy and the Ballista was very funny!!

Hopefully in B&W 2 it will be easier to remain on the Good path, as it is extremely difficult in B&W 1 because of the way the game works out alignment.

Ah... good ol' BnW... can't remember how long that was on my harddrive, but it certainly was somewhere around 3 years...

If you had a friend who complimented you, multiplayer was brilliant. I'd look after the economy and micro-manage (I suppose it's fitting given I'm studying economics), where as he would look after the creature. Both of us didn't like the job we weren't doing and it was great.
