Personally, I love it. It increases the immersion factor and at times it helps me remeber the good ol' days of MTW. Do you use it?

Toggle off everything and just use hotkeys... looks brilliant..

Use it. Love it. Will never play without it again.

I couldn´t live without it.
Wouldn't have it any other way.

Yep. It's old-school Total War interfarce with new plop-down controls if you forget the hotkeys.

It's nice. At least give it a try.
I want a setting to permanently enable the pop down (ie not have to do it each battle) & some way of displaying the gamespeed.
Thinking of switching back to normal.

what's minimal UI
I´m using it since that patch, only issue is that you can´t give move orders in the region of the pop-down menu, but I like it.

minimal UI = minimal Unit Interface. With other words, the buttons, the map, the unit icons, and all the other things you use to control your army. Minimal refers to a new feature that has come with the patch: it utilizes the same UI as earlier Total War games, and is a lot smaller and efficient.

i think i'll try it

Another way to describe it is:
Not Warcraft
or
Being able to see the battlefield
And how do you activate it?
In preferences.txt, MINIMAL_UI:TRUE
F6 toggles the buttons between 3 settings: drop down, always on and always off. F5 toggles the radar map on and off screen, and F7 toggles the unit icons on and off screen. CTRL T changes the speed, but there is no game speed indicator shown.

thanx also another question, where can build your own scenario.

I like it, with the only mild exception, that the Plop-down, plops just a little too easily. Ploping-down the majority of the time when you don't need it. Using the hot key is preferred.
Haven't checked, but can those keys be re-mapped? F6 is a bit of a trip for the fingers during the heat of battle.
I also, wonder why the cards are placed all the way to the left of the screen, rather in the middle? Though, perhaps that's the best placing. Thoughts?
Very, Very, Very, mild annoyances.
Overall, a big thank you to CA. Now, 1600x1200 on a nice bigh 21 inch screen isn't wasted!!!

The minimal UI is great. It's what the game should have shipped with. However, I don't like the way there's no button that controls the speed (apart from default control for triple speed). And everytime I assign keys to control the speed, when I next load up RTW, the changes are lost. Anyone else have that problem or know what causes it?
The new UI is outstanding. I'll never go back. The game looks far too good to hide.
minimal UI????
a ok i wish i have one?
how do u get nywayz//
