Thread: Vanishing family members
_Aetius_ 01:50 02-10-2005
So i was in the middle of a greek campaign, and realised i hadnt checked out my family tree in ages so i look at it and start getting abit confused when i start reading the names of most of the men and i dont recognise them.

Then i find 4 generations of one part of the family have all died in battle or peacefully in the exact same year 184BC, when i had had no battles in which generals had died but even weirder all their wives died that year to. Then i realise this is in fact not the family i started out with, and the original member of this family was born in 330BC and died in 184BC making him 146 years old this was the same for many other family members.

So i ask the question what the hell is going on? i can understand if the original Spartan line of my family died out and was logically passed on to an adopted male's line in this case men from Epirus, but that doesnt explain this massive death toll that just appeared and wasnt even announced by the game and the incredible age of some family members.

Anybody had an experience with this before?

I had a vanishing family member the other night as well.

I sent two Egyptian generals units out of Memphis to crush some rebels which they promptly did, both generals were alive at the end of the battle.

But when it went back to the campaign screen I only had one general (the faction leader fortunately) left, I checked the family tree and noticed that the other guy had supposedly died peacefully.

I'd lost a general the turn before in battle and he showed up correctly, but this guy just seemed to disappear for some reason.
