Thread: Senate-family migration?

  1. #1

    Default Senate-family migration?

I'm playing Gauls on Hard campaign difficulty, and the Senate bribes two of my cities, no biggie, since there was basically no garrison to defend it and I had an army already sieging one, but then I noticed something, the Senate had a huge massive migration of family members heading up north...right into my territory... I'm thinking to myself that I could easily eliminate the senate faction without even sieging Rome.

Is this a 1.2-AI change, or was it like this the entire time? This is, after all, the Senate with more than one provenance.

Hey, that's kinda cool. I never, ever saw that in 1.1.

Hey, the exact same thing happened to me. I am playing as gaul. I'm also playing on 1.2 and hard campaign difficulty... weird. They bribed two of my cities, and as I was defeating Julii, I noticed a huge family member migration up there. The worst part is, I don't have enough rescources to take the provinces back; the Brutii are sending near full stacks at me with family members in control.

i remember in mtw when the papal states would allways go on the rampage with massive armies after re-ermeging. This senate migration sounds very interesting, i`ll have to start a new vanilla campaign asap :)

I remember reading somewhere that if you give / sell a region to the Senate that they will start expanding like crazy (it's on my todo list, sounds like a fun thing to do).
There are only 10 kinds of people: those who can read binary and those who cannot.

My first game of the new patch I was playing the Julii. Whilst still allied to the Scipii (about 240) The Scipii suddenly sent north (through my territory) and to the east about 10 family members - unstacked.

They proceeded to go east into Macedonian territory and I lost track of the majority. But 2 remained standing still for the remainder of the game near one of my cites (even when I took over the senate & Rome).
