Usually on sunday, i guess around 6pm gmt through to about 1am gmt not exactly sure on exact best time, if you want some stw action and you cant find anyone on the server though join us on vi samurai wars.

I go on randomly to play my friend, and there is nobody on in the time where we go on (weekday evenings) so weekends are a better bet

Well, I don't know if files for downloading have been posted at the Aggony site, but the information that needs to be in the interent.cfg files to access the Fake Server are there, somewhere (in the STW thread on the forum, I think). It came to my attention because the information to our old Fake Server was also published (without anyone asking if it was ok with the hoster--his IP was revealed publicly). The owner of the IP decided not to make issue of it.

I haven't had a battle online in a very long time. I'm a California native, living in Nevada at the moment, so our time zones are the same. I play STW: MI/WE v1.02, 10,000 koku per player, 4 maximum of the same unit type, and no ashigaru. I would also be open to v1.03 games with reduced koku and lighter restrictions. If that interests you, feel free to PM me if you'd like to meet for some games. Betou and I know each other, so you can ask him about me if you need some intel first. Maybe you and Betou could meet me and Anskar (a mutual Swedish friend of ours) for some 2v2s sometime (my favorite battle type)? I know Ansk would enjoy that. If you talk with Betou, tell him Toga and Anskie are challenging him if he's up to it . That should get him going ... hehe. We haven't played at all in a long while, so it should make for some easy kills.

I have been playing MTW since last year. I miss the muskets in STW.
I can play STW:MI/WE online from 10:00pm-1:00am on any day.

Why don't you try the STWmod for MTW/VI v2.01? It has two teppo units. One is equivalent to STW muskets and the other is 50% stronger. Sorry, there are no teppo like MI's muskets which are 300% stronger than STW's muskets. No unit type restrictions are necessary in Samurai Wars, and it's played at 10k per player. Last night we had three 2v2 and two 3v3 battles. All the battles were excellent.

Hello Cha & Wilbo. Wilbo: I play on a 56K connection with no problems as long as the game type is 3v3 (3 versus 3) or less. 4v4 tends to lag for me (but, my 56K connection's average transfer rate is only 28.8, so if yours is truly 56K you can probably play 4v4s fine).

Cha: I don't operate a fake server because of my slow connection. I have a friend who was running one for a while. Sometimes he and I and other friends arrange to meet for games using it, but it's no longer available to the general public (not enough people were using it to justify him keeping it up all the time). Note: they are very easy to install and operate. The only caviat is you must give out your PC's IP in order for others to connect to your server.

I am usually awake at the times you mentioned. I'll repatch and see if I can access Tosa's fake server tonight around 10:30pm. If you log in and don't see me there, stay logged in if you can so we don't miss each other; I'll do the same. If you see me there but I don't respond, and get an automessage when you try to message me directly, then I'm "AFK" (away from keyboard). If this is the case I will be checking every few minutes to see if you've logged in.

If you guys have MTW, I've heard it would be worth your while to try what Puzz3D suggests. They've invested a lot of time and effort into the Samurai Wars mod, and deserve to have some players give it a shot. The mod is supposed to be excellent--for online battles too. The primary reason why I haven't tried it because my platform can't handle it.

The more the merrier as they say. I swapped my .cfg file and have successfully logged into the fakeserver. I am there now, but I'm back and forth doing other things as no one is in yet tonight. I'm checking periodically. Hoping to catch someone for my first battles online in quite a long while.

Cha and I just had a nice series of games, playing flip flops on Aki, Totomi, and Ironing Board. He took the trophy tonight with 4 wins to my 2. It was quite fun to play again after so long. Thanks for the games m8, and hope to play you again sometime. Hope to see you others in there too. I need the practice .

I've been troubleshooting a PC problem for the last week that prevented me from getting online. I've resolved the issue (obviously) so now I can play again. If someone is interested, post when you'll be available or PM and we can make arrangements.

Yes Cha, those were indeed fun games. It would be nice to get two more to join us--you'd make a good 2v2 partner .
