Wow. No love for the horse archers? I know they got bugged with the patch, but still.

Put me down for Scythians. Best HA empire in the game. And because their provinces are so big, you really look like you are doing well from the start. :)

At the moment I like Carthage best... though Gaul is pretty cool too for the challange....

My easist campaign was with Macedon - superior family mambers, superior army when you breake 12,000 (Royal Pikemen + Macedon Cavarly, later Companion + Cretan Archers + Rhodian Slingers = dead to Greeks, Thrace, Romans and Egypt

Carthage is the best, I'll tell you. In old vanilla they have a hard time and they are way underrated. But, oh sweet Baal, how do the carthaginians kick ass in RTR. You just have to love them...
