Default A reverse exodus : what about yours?

Am I repeating a topic? No?

You see, we all know that in R:TW there is one cool way to make your life hard and fun by evacuating your faction to the other side of the map. Many of us make it up ourselves and thus are "original" in a sense (despite being 1000th person to do it.) But I think everybody likes do all the same thing by moving to the popular Britain or Spain from Asia. I think we need some variety here. Anyone has a unique exodus experience to share?

As for me, I made a reverse of the Britannia evacuation. I decided to play Britain and go for Asia Minor as my new realm. It took me a few years to prepare, evacuate the mainland, take Tara (as my base) and sailed off.

About 262 B.C. I reached the Gibraltar (Summer)

Exactly year 248 B.C. Summer the British reached Crete: it has been taken by Macedon so I go for Rhodes (the wonder-full island.)

    247 B.C. Winter : Rhodes under siege.

246 B.C. (Summer) the island has become a capital of the mysterious barbarians known to the Aegean people as the "sea people." or the "British." Tara has been abandoned

250 B.C. Winter : the British took over the city of Halicarnassus - and the wonder.

From that forward I am officially a new member of the blood feud in the Aegean area, though I kept myself out of Greece for a long time, prefer going east.

Now it's 221 B.C. and I'm at war with Rome. They are beating me badly!

Man it's hard! You must feel the sense of being faced with those phalanxes and cavalry yourself as a barbarian to know how the poor British feel when a mysterious gayish-pink ships carrying pajamas-wearing horse riders arrived at your shores, showing you the pain of wearing trousers.

    Oh, and I'm playing Normal/Normal.

Now share your own unique exodus.

I'd never even heard of this exodus idea. Sounds like more fun than I could have doin the usual... liquorin up a barrel full of monkeys and seeing what happens... I shall give this a try, and if anything noteworthy comes of it, this thread will be sure to hear of it. Goodday.

It`s been a while since I relocated the brits to italy on vh/vh. It was insane, at least one full stack of juli or scipii or gaul each turn. Of course I had no money, so I couldn`t retrain my units for a long time. The only thing that kept me going was that my light charriots did all the work so I hardly had any losses.
Northern italy was littered with battle markers. It was awesome.
I tried to repeat it with spain, but the spain starting army could`t even defeat SPQRs starting army, let alone the other factions.

The brits to Rhodes? An interesting idea. Personally, i don't take the sea route anymore when immigrating. I go by land, usually leaving a trail of rebel provinces in my tracks. That way, by time i get to where i'm going, i have an experienced army.

that's what i said. never go by sea it's not fun. you have to get as much of your army intact on the other side of the map. take a city. and then go back. without retraining. at they end you have about 30 gold chevron units, and you're a million in red.

    We do not sow.

If strong enough you could always maintain your economy by sacking and then leaving cities you capture, like true barbarians hordes!

I have thought about this before but never tried it though i may now!
