    Default holiday [tunisia]

    going to tunisia in august anything i should look out for or visit from a historical point of view/[carthage obvious i know but has anyone been etc] special interest visits ancient battle,roman greek anything. sites towns cities etc any help info most welcome.

    Carthage was sacked something like 100 times so you won't really see any original Carthaginian/Pheonician buildings that are stading unfortunatly. There's plenty of Roman Amphitheaters there though. No greek stuff. Greeks never colonized there.

    Yeah There's nothing much left at Carthage but still worth a visit. ElJem is a must see ampitheatre and you can also go to where they filmed Starwars and the Life of Brian.The camel trek in the Sahara is pretty good.
