I used to be able to play Shogun. But I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it later because I felt like playing again. Now, every time I try to start it, it does not load. IUt just won't. What do I do?

Try installing the directx that comes with the cd or perhaps turning off the intro videos. I'll move this to the apothecary leaving a copy here.

I had this problem with shogun before my upgrade... it just started working afterwards. I get a flashing menu screen though for some reason.
It's a monitor refresh problem. Kinda' like when you see a TV screen or a monitor on TV and it flickers or kidna' scrolls down. Try setting your refresh rates (there's a recentish thread on that here). It also seems to be exacerbated by having background windows up that have any sort of flashing or movement... especially if you Alt+Tab over a lot like me.
I've rebought it and I'm gonna reinstall it.
