I think you can't build the Portuguese or Dutch trading posts if you already have the other built... BUT you can have them both in the building queue after meeting both, andthe game will faithfully execute the queue. So wait until the Dutch come and then set both up to be built one after the other.

I'd love to have the Date clan independent, or the Chosokabe. :\ Let's hear it for the little guys!
