n00bish question on the export_descr_buildings.txt files

Sorry, the answer to this is probably quite obvious, but should i ignore the words at the top of the export_descr_buildings.txt file? It says:

;This file is generated from a spreadsheet
;Please do not modify by hand

Should i ignore it, and go ahead with my evil plans, or should i listen to what it says?

I have been able to modify it by hand. Just be careful to exactly duplicate formats (and back up first.) It is probably tab delimited, although I haven't noticed any problems so far.

Yes, those notes were for the devs, they used spreadsheets, we have to edit the files themselves
