still cant open all factions!

im pretty sure i know how to open up all the factions, but it doesnt seem to be working, still there are like 5 or 6 that wont open . Maybe some one can explain how to open them 1 more time so i can see if i am doing something wrong.Sorry i know this gets asked often, maybe some one should just make a modd that has all the factions open alllready, unless there is alllready one?

Go to Rome:Total War, Data, World, Maps, Campaign, Imperial Campaign, Descr_Strat and then you'll see:

All you have to do is cut the ones from non-playable(except for Senate and slave) to the playble.

It's that simple *sighs*.

Isn't there a 20 playable faction limit (you have to leave at least one locked/unplayable)?

Well i tryed that and just the roman bruttii and Juliii showed up as playable and all the other ones disapeared oin the imperial campain thing, and then i got everything but the roman factions to show up, but when i would click to start my campainit would just go to a different page rather then going to the campain, so im reinstalling the game and will have to try again.

You had a typo or format error somewhere. I've been doing some massive editing to the strat file and if something isn't right, it kicks me back to the campaign menu.

Side note:
Interesting that CA didn't even define many of the rebel provinces...they default to minimum population and no structures of any type.

Yeah i was wondering if someone had made a mod for this since it seems to be such a typiical problem for people or atleast beginners.I just dont understand why when activision put out the game why they didnt just have all the factions playable from the start, it would save some people alot of trouble

No one knows why CA made the faction selection like that, making us unlock all the playable factions, but still leaving half of them unplayable. Oh, and steve, when you are talking about the company that made RTW, say CA, not activision. Activision published it, CA made it.
