Thread: Heirs of Spain

    Default Heirs of Spain

I'm on my current game of Spain (Easy, I'm still not quite ready for the more advanced games yet), but I remember my last Spanish start.

It went fairly well, and my heirs, though having severe vices, had command, acumen, piety, and dread ratings through the roof (each at least 5, with 7-8 command). I assassinated my worthless heir only to get the unhinged loon as the next king.

Ah well, now to my current game, the heirs aren't QUITE as good as before, but they're serviceable. Aragon, Toulouse and Aquitaine have been taken, as well as Navarre and Valencia. It is 1101 and I am preparing to lower the boom on poor Cordoba (the Alhomads took one look at my army and ran off screaming like little girls).

How is it that most of my super strong heirs get massively bad vices? Ah well, back to my assassins school.

You should marry your king/heirs to foreign princesses as often an you can, it helps in reducing vices.
Also, letting them do some killing on battle helps gaining some virtues.
Keeping the heirs/generaks near to the king might help removing some vices according to a few treads.
The best is yet to come.
