Default funniest scene in a movie

my penultimate scene comes from 'the kentucky fried move' which is a prequel to 'airplane' anyway, there's a scene where the damsel in distress is pointing out to the hero, all the bugs in the room while carrying on an inane conversation. but the eavesdropping just gets more and more ridiculous with each one she points out. and the third one is soooo over the top, i still to this day smile every time i think of that scene even though i first saw it years ago.

and me writiing out exactly what happens wouldn't come close to doing it justice so i won't even try.

    what's yours?
    indeed

In Young Frankenstein the monster played by PEter Boyle finds his way to the house of a blind man (Gene Hackman) who is very lonely and possibly gay. Gene slowly discovers that the monster is mute ("an incredibly large mute") and proceeds to make nice.

He offers him some soup, which he pours (remember he's blind) into the Peter Boyle's lap instead of the bowl, some wine (which is lost when they toast and touch goblets, but they break cause Gene has no depth perception).

Finally Gene offers Peter a cigar, but instead lights Peter's thumb.

As the monster runs screaming away, Gene calls out "wait come back, I was gonna make some expresso!"

    Absolutely perfect bit.

In 'planes, trains & automobiles' when steve Martin gets back to the helpdesk after getting all the way to his car to find it isnt there.

The sheer amount of expletives in one long sentence/rant is one of the funniest things ever!
"England expects that every man will do his duty" Lord Nelson

    "Extinction to all traitors" Megatron

"Lisa, if the Bible has taught us nothing else, and it hasn't, it's that girls should stick to girls sports, such as hot oil wrestling and foxy boxing and such and such." Homer Simpson

In Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - the ending, of course. When the Gweneth Paltrow (sp?) character, who has a single shot left in her camera (she's supposed to be an important reporter/photographer) and she takes the last picture...

I rather like the Saturday Night Fever spoof scene in Airplane.

It is almost 25 years old, but the original Beverly Hills Cop had some great scenes. The lines made that movie. I'd say the best "scene" was the valet scene and what happened shortly afterwards.

    Hands keys to valet:

"Can you put this in a good spot? 'Cause all of this **** happened the last time I parked here"

Then he gets into the building by saying this line in a feminine, lispy voice:

"Tell Victor that Ramon - -the fella he met about a week ago? - -tell him that Ramon went to the clinic today, and I found out that I have, um, herpes simplex 10, and I think Victor should go check himself out with his physician to make sure everything is fine before things start falling off on the man."
"Never in physical action had I discovered the chilling satisfaction of words. Never in words had I experienced the hot darkness of action. Somewhere there must be a higher principle which reconciles art and action. That principle, it occurred to me, was death." -Yukio Mishima

Politically totally incorrect, but Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man entering the museum to pick up some weaponry. The guilty grin on his face, his gratuitous violence in the midst of that sanctimonous Hollywood-Utopia - gives me lots of joyjoy feelings.
