Default UVW distortion when exporting to .cas

I am having a problem where objects that I have made from scratch have their UVW mapping coordinates displaced when I export to .cas.
For example the sword on the left is how the UVW coordinates looked before exporting to .cas and the sword on the right is how they look after being exported.
What step am I missing in order to prevent this from happening?

I hope that I can explain it enough/clear:

Your problem is that your textured surface is a continuum while you try to make a flat surface of it. ...

Let's take a cilinder, if you have merged all vertices then the UVW will only show half the surface. The other half is beneath it. See it as if you see are looking at a side view. You cannot spread the entire surface (so not 2 halfs on top of each other) since all vertices are merged.

Ah, now I've got a good example:
Let's say you make this a cilinder out of a paper sheet. Then with some tape you connect 2 ends. Now no matter what you do you will only see 1 half of the cilinder.

If you want to fix this then you cut (break vertices) the paper. So in your case try to find a line where you can break your vertices.

...but perhaps you already knew this and something else is the matter. My guess is that you haven't laid out the points right. You might have connect in UVW view the wrong points. And when importing the CAS back in, the program disconnects these points and connect them with the right ones.

I doubt it, but I hope the above helps
