    Default Roman civil war?

hi all just a quick question.

I am playing the house of julii on campaign mode and have currantly took:gaul, british isles and spain (the brutti crushed the germans). However the game has turned boring as basicly ive conquered most of europe and conquered what julii are meant to conquer.
Anyway to cut a long story short when does the roman civil war start

Maybe not really a quick question

What's your Senate popularity rating? It should be pretty low, but there are reports that some players are not being properly mistrusted by the Senate and thus are having touble triggering the civil war. With as much land as you describe, I think you might be one having this bug.

A nice way of triggering the Civil War without worrying about popularity is to send an assassin after the Senate faction leader. If you succeed, you've got rid of a powerful rival and can try again next turn; if you fail your assassin is usually caught & killed, causing the Senate to declare war on you.

You can launch it yourself at anytime by attacking either the Senate or one of the other families, providing your popularity with the masses is high enough. Both senate and plebian popularity is rated on a scale of 1-10, and it seems the plebe popularity needs to be about 7.5 before you can start the offensive yourself.

Normally you have to wait till a messeg sayng that you are soooo popular with people appers. But you can avoid it ;)
    1. You can assasinate SPQR member as it was mentioned.
    2. You can birbe other familly city and refuse to give it back.
    3. Sometimes if you deaclare war on nation that you should sign trade treaty (or something like this - senate mission) senate may declare war on you 'cos you are against rights of Rome ;)
