Talking wrath of the gods (aka just desserts)

ok this is a funny story i just gotta tell, i brought rtw over to my friends to show him how great it was. so i started a new scipii campaign.

so i had just purged carthage and had laid one unsuccesful seige on syracuse. i send a diplomat over to get them to cave...they don't. but they sent a half stack up around etna to hit messena. i saw this as an opportunity because they were led by a captain, and ripe for the bribing. i quickly recruit a diplomat as my other was resolving a problem in africa. so i send him over to bribe the army at etna's base he meets the army, they turn down the offer. and then that bribe crazy greek diplomat we all know and love gives my guy an offer. next turn i get the message i am betrayed!!! that litte bastard is workng for greece. now i am worried. they could bribe my armies, my cities!!! i recrute another diplomat and send him over, i get both greek dips on my side for 1000 each. i leave them there cause i have no use for them, but im still kinda peeved at that betrayer. HAHA now the gods step in to exact my vengence...sweet. mount etna explodes, the new diplomat survives, the old greek diplomat survives, the betrayer is a frikken ball of ash WOOT

ah man how timely is that

i just had to say that, anyone got any similar tales?

Well it does look like the Gods are smiling down on you at the moment, but beware, they can be fickle, especially if you don't honour them correctly.

    Nice, and amusing story though.

Awesoem Master of puppets, thats why I always keep a diplomat, spy and assasin with each of my medium to large size armies. Not only do I not get bribed but any opposition coming toward me I send out my diplomat to bribe them and then add them to the army they were going to try and attack. (If they were roman that is).

try this, go to custom battles choose armenia, then take their archers only archers, and then don't start the fight but only go to setup formation, and look, you'll see some of them sshowing their butt to the enemy.

Haha, I've actually seen many barbarian units do the same... Mooning seems to be of all ages.

    GAH!

That is called "taunting". Hover over unit while they in full moon, and it will say they are taunting youz.

Quite funny really... Until they discover that arrows can be quite cheeky...
