Spain vs. Italy (me). It's going to be a big one.
After refusing to let their crusade come through my lands to suck up my high end troops, war was declared. They beat me up pretty good on the seas with their Caravels. Best I could do was match up with Fire Galleys, and most of the time I got crushed. So I figure the only chance I have is to suck up a few of their territories and then get them to accept a ceasefire. By the way, they have accepted 3 ceasefire over the past 4 turns, and then gone on to sink my ships right after. NO MORE!!!!! Now I will crush them. Problem is I've gone red, so I have to do it with what I have on the map. Landwise no problem, but if I don't move quick enough they'll have complete control of the seas and will be able to amphib attack me where I'm weak.
We're squared up along the Const and Nicaea border. They have a very good 2 stack army there that was left over from a previous crusade. I have an excellent 4 stack army ready to pounce. I notice that most of both our units have heavy armor (i.e. I have several ILI with the bronze colored shield upgrade, I think that means +2). Spain has several royal knights and other units with armor upgrades. Is it worth it to attack him and risk the fatigue (since we both will be affected), or maybe better to bait him to attack me on my turf in a not so arid place. I'm not afraid to reduce my army in Const in order to lure him.
