Royal unit and time

Ok, i'm working on my mod and i've met a weird problem...
I changed the royal unit for the Danish as earlyvarangianguard for the early period and VarangianGuard for high and late.
VG is set to all periods while evg early only.
The problem i'm having is that the VG appears on early and the early one on high+late, being swapped!
Do i have to set an unit for each period or am i dealing with a bug?

Problem is in the unit listing. EVG is listed latest, and will be picked last for eligible Royal unit. A possible solution which I've considered but not implemented, is to use Gnome 2.0 to change EVG or Viking Huscarles to Vanilla Vikings and Vice Versa. Then at royal eligibility on the new Huscarles, and it should work perfectly.

Err... does the system use table position rather than timespan for such evaluations?
Doesn't sound very clever to me (unless there were optimization issues behind)...

Yes, the first listing on the table goes to earlier times, later listings to later units. Move the unit in the listing or create a new (later) unit at the end of the list.
