Ok so my cav archers are getting chased by other light cav. My cav turn to so they don't get trapped on the red line and the enemy light cav just catch one guy at the back of my cav and my cav, instead of letting him die and carry on they turn around and try and help him.(And die of course) So I end up getting a bunch of cav in my phalanx's side.Jeez!

Anyways to answer your question, I too have had problem of Skirmish Cav Skirmishing away to the map edge and dying.

The key thing is to never let it get that far. (I know its tough in a big battle to keep track of everyone especially HA's)

Skirmish Cav are not good for fighting, and I would sugguest you have impact cavalry behind them for just this situation... Other than that there is little you can do except let them die (or take them off skirmish and manually run them aorund the enemy, which is tricky)

There's just that small problem that all my cav were way away and fighting. What's the point?
