rtw freezing

yeah i was wondering if anyone had a similiar problem. When i go to click for the next turn my computer freezes on the Bruiti shield.I have downloaded the new patch and the historicial battle mod so i dont know if that has anything to do with it.Im assuming im going to have to reinstall the game unless anyone has any suggestion on what could fix this?

those mods can mess up your game. I tried ROMETOTALREALISM and it would start up and load, but suddenly crash. that mod told me on their website to backup files before installing it. I didn't bother to read it before I installed it and had to reinstall RTW

Well i reinstalled it and played as Carthage till about 224 bc when it froze again, this game is begining to waste alot of my time and take a toll on my school work!
