    Default Cities

    Hi,

    I’ve 2 questions concerning cities

    - Has anyone succeeded in putting a river and a city on the same map? As soon as a city is added to a tile with a river in the battle editor, the water seems to disappear.
    - Has anyone found out how to edit the descr_items.db file? I think this had to be edited to be able to add ITEMs to the game, but I can’t open it.

    Thx for any advice

As far as I know, you can't put a river in a city. I tried, and I got the same result as you. I also put a buiding in a river, and implemented into the campaign map. Same result.

As for the items, I don't think anyones worked it out yet, but I may be wrong...

    Thanks for your reply,

I'll leave the rivers alone then, probably not possible to have both . Any chance we could ask CA about this?
It would be very useful to represent actual cities in different mods.. Most real capitals are along rivers.

As for the items, i've tried editing the desr_items.db through notepad, but didn't get it to work.
RTW went looking for textfiles in the data\descr_items folder, wich doesn't exist.
Could it be that a similar list of files as in descr_building_battle folder is still hidden in one of the PAK-files but doesn't get extracted?
Or maybe the files are packed inside descr_items.db. Getting them out is really out of my league, so any help would be appreciated.

    thx Badger

This could be like skeletons, where if you delete the files, it then uses the text file. But if the text file has been removed...
