Compared to earlier, the Fertility Trait in V1.2 now seems to actually work. However, based on my mod testing; there does seem to be one subtle detail that will affect you when setting up a "larger than normal" start-up family tree (for example a fully populated three generation tree). If you set up the family tree with all fertile males, you seem to get a lower than "reasonable" birth rate for the fourth generation. If you include enough females in the startup family tree, you will see a major jump in the number of fourth generation children.
My observation is that you seem to need to make at least 1/3 of the start-up family tree female in order to get a reasonable size fourth generation even with the male fertile trait at "prolific" (with doctor and priest fertility increments).
I can only surmise that the "reproduction" hard-coding is not a simple formula but includes factors for sex-balance, inbreeding, and outbreeding.
Has any one else made observations that would confirm/deny this detail????
