I once lost my English campaign because I didn't realize that I should never move my King once my empire got large.
I figured that medieval Kings went on crusades so naturally my King led one such crusade (I had launched others). Unfortunately it was an area without a port at the time.

My loyalty ratings were for the most part at 200% but when my King lost contact with a port it went down to 0% in some places...lol.

My whole empire revolted the next turn and since my King was part of a crusade he couldn't simply move back to a port area.

In conclusion, have your King sit in some nice slap of land with a port (and a good armourer). And have a fleet to support your massive empire of course.

GD history book. I should never again trust the history books in my school, they suck. Oh well thanks for enlightening me.
