Thread: Question and how you could change your ending conditions?

  1. #1

Default Question and how you could change your ending conditions?

Personally, I don't want to get the patch. So I am wondering how can I mod my game or is there a mod out there, that will allow me to basically keep playing after I collect Rome and every other place out there.

Thank you, if you could link me, if there is a mod out there, I would be thankful.

I don't think it can be done... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

I may have misunderstood your question, but I thought there was already a way of playing on. If you quick-save after taking your fifty provinces and Rome then when you reload the game you can play on. I don't know if that then stops when you've conquered the world. If you look on the Colosseum you'll probably find a thread that explains this in more detail.

Along those lines, is it actually possible to mod the victory conditions? I noticed that there's a small section at the start of the descr_strat file on victory conditions. Does anyone have any experience modding these?

    Code:
    win_conditions
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    land_owner 20 100
    end_win_conditions

In my experience there is no way of changing victory conditions.
The lines in descr_strat do not seem to work, as the game runs without those lines.
In fact the victory conditions in a provincial campaign seem to be the same as those in the last imperial campaign played (at least with 1.1).

Some of these questions were discussed some time ago in this thread:

    Good luck.
