Really, thats good! The model iself is a group of ships, so I guess thats what its for, unfortunatly I think this shows that they weren't working on sea battles. If that had been, surely the ships would be individual models?
I they aren't individual models that doesn't means that they aren't working on sea battles but yes that would mean that the model isnt used for sea battles, remember that they were working on rome in "medieval times" so we dont know for sure if they are or aren't.
Is that official? The expansion will be Medieval? I should keep up to date on these things
No no, i you missunderstood me, i said that they were working on rome total war and medieval total war in the same time that's what i wanted to say with "medieval times".From what i heared and many rumours say that that the expansion will be the hunic invasion and should be released octomber this year but this are just rumours nothing official.
ok thanks.
Well, each 'ship' on the strategic map can easily be converted into a small squadron of ships on he battlemap, just like we have units of many men on land. So I think a small unit of ships is a better indicator of naval battles. I mean how fun would it be to fight with one bireme against another singular bireme? Just like it would not be fun to send one cavalryman off to fight another cavalryman. The ebb and flow of a fight would be lost with singular ships (and men).Originally Posted by Myrddraal

it does get more fun when each of those ships contains a land unit tho, and when you bring enough AI controlled armies (or teammates in MP) so you have battles with 80 vs 80 ships, each containing a land unit :)
but that is entirely off topic
