Default Please look at new Monastery sticky

    Hello Burghers of Renascent Europe,

I have compiled a new sticky for online historical resources in the Monastery: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=44301

In my search for links I have browsed your entire Citadel: Total War forum, but I didn't find many. I am still working on the sections covered by the Citadel mod, so I would ask you to check out the sticky, tell me what you think of it, and most importantly: see if you can add some good links.

    Thanks in advance!

I didn't want to clutter up the Monastery sticky with a simple thank you, so I'll barge in here.

What a wonderful idea, I've already killed about four hours (yeah, I'm gonna get fired thanks to that sticky) just skimming through the different links. Thanks alot.

Everyone is welcome to barge in here, hope you get a little notice before they fire you.

I think I may have a few links. I will find them tomorrow and then give them to you AdrianII. Thanks for doing this.

Thanks Prolatariat and Uesugi Kenshin. We aim to please - and I like doing this so far. I'll probably be the first to get fired. I'll have to get a life after all... or install a fainting couch like Proletariat.

Nice couch! It does not fit my relatively spartan, but comfort centered tastes, but it does look nice. Good woodwork and all that.

That is all I could find in the Historical Battles thread, when I get home Sunday I will try to find more.

Thanks, Uesugi Kenshin! I considered including the Gutenberg Project under several headings in the sticky, but in fact everything in the GP is already covered by other, more specific links in the sticky. Gutenberg is a great source, but the links I use are more specific as to General info on one particular culture, specific Warfare info, specific Maps for the given period, etcetera. Saves time for the researcher, and I think that's important in a quick reference guide. Anyway, Gutenberg is exactly the kind of quality link we wanna see, so please see if you can find anything else in your bookmarks.

    Thanks again!

Excellent -- only the bowl of fruit is at the wrong end, and the grape-feeding nubiles are missing!
