help with rebels

hello all,

my son just started playing, still very young though, and is having trouble with all the rebels. Each turn there are two to four new rebel armies showing up so he is spending all his time and resources fighting them ( and mostly losing).
These armies are 300 to 650 strong each.

This does not allow focus on the main part of the game , he has yet to take another region.


Question: Is there a way to lessen the occurence of these guys ( not permanently)?

I think the game is a little too advanced for him now but he really is excited about it so I wanted to help him in a way that he doesnt know hes being helped.

I'd suggest he can ignore most of the rebels at least for a while, let him develop patience and build a big army them whack them, his losses will be much less than an even battle.

You apparently change the rebels descr txt file to reduce the likelihood though I'm not sure if this works myself.

You can also change the type of rebels you fight to only peasants by altering the rebel text file .
