i think the main danger of this experiment is the creation of the brain.
it might mean the end for this planet.

We already have plenty of proof of people with mice brains....

"Last week, however, the university's ethics committee approved the research, under certain conditions. Prof Henry Greely, the head of the committee, said: "If the mouse shows human-like behaviours, like improved memory or problem-solving, it's time to stop.""
Quite interesting how quick they would be to destroy them. I do not get the whole problem with it...
Another thing I do not get is why some people think that if the mice mated they would somehow have a human baby...

I wonder how they just make the brain human without affecting the rest, possibly a retrovirus carrier ? If this is the case, it might not be unlikely that other parts are affected accidentally.

I do think this experiment is balancing on a small line concerning ethics and medical progress, but as long as the mice don't get their hands on nuclear weapons, we've got little to fear

Personally, it's quite interesting. It will be enjoyable to see what happens. And btw, i seriously doubt that the mice could have a human child if something went wrong with their reproductive systems. The worst that could prolly happen is that they would have some hideous mouse-human hybrid, that eventually takes over the planet.

I, for one, welcome our new mouse overlords!!
