Default Running on low spec machines

Hello, everyone - this looks a cracking forum and probably my best/only bet at solving a problem I have with MTW, so if anyone has ANY suggestions at all, I'd like to here them!

To cut a long story short, Im trying to run the game on a lower than recommended spec PC, it has 1.4 GHz processor and oodles of RAM, but no graphics card!!

Whats a little odd is - the game runs beutifully apart from not being able to show any textures, which is pretty disastrous!

Im utterly convinced my PC can run the game flawlessly, and that its simply a matter of 'convincing' the game that its ok to run - its just Im not sure how,

are there any command line messages I can use?
is there anything in windows XP or directX settings I can toggle?
is there a MTW config file I could play around with?
    or am I completely knackered!?

Any help at all and I would be gratefull!

Try buying a $20 video card. The Geforce 2 MX works fine for with, with less specs than you.

Other than doing that, I wouldn't know what to do.

I played games wth system like yours only I have 1.5 ghz P4 and 376 mb of ram I played without a Vide card for quite sometime but another game I wanted to play required me to have a good graphics card.I went out and bought one as it needed to be good performer so I got an HIS Excalibur Ati 9550 agp 128 mb ram and now all my games play better and the graphics are way better. It is well worth the investment to get decent vid card as you are useing systems memory/ram for your gaming there is only 8 mb of onboard video.I hope this helps.

Yeah, thanks guys - I thought as much!

Just seems odd how some games swear blind that you need a graphics card, then you take them home and they run perfectly - guess I got caught by this 'un.
    Still a smashing game mind!

On my old computer I used to play MTW with a 900 mhz K-7, Geforce original, and 128 MB SD-RAM. Only could use lowest resolution and sometimes slowed down, but still the greatness I remembe.r Now that I finally invested in a replacement computer, it is freaking awesome.
