New way to play

Well, new ways to play are excellent, and you are one of them. They also tend to slow down your game years, hence more movement by the AI. However, there is always one damn horrible problem to deal with when it comes to very long games (in turns, not necessarily real time) is that Egypt will conquer everything and get the fun out of the game. You should tone them down A LOT if you want a fun game with all those mighty unit rosters available to the Seleucids, Pontus, Armenia, and Parthia. Or else you'll get bored killing the Ptolemaic units (for RTR) all the time. And if vanilla? It's MUCH worse...

I didn't know the egyptians conquered everything really fast? I'm playing as them now and I've conquered the whole Eastern Side of the map lol. But I didn't know the AI Egyptians were that good?

The AI Ptolemies were absolutely overpowered, my friend.

They outnumber all their rivals, outproduce, got much more money, make a steady expansion upon the *could've been cool* Seleucids.

And that is toned down Ptolemaics of RTR.

If Vanilla? Unless you fight them early they will ALWAYS - Repeat - ALWAYS become the most tedious superpower after the Romans. They have even more resources, even more money, even more men, even weaker Seleucids to deal with, and, most importantly; they almost always win an AI vs AI auto-calc battle due to the overpowered chariots in Autocalc mechanics.

Side note: A chariot unit counts almost as much as elephants when the game Autocalc your battle results against (or with) them.
