I think the biggest change in the weather effects pertain to persistence. Weather was much more prolonged in Shogun. Rain could be light, moderate or heavy and last through the whole battle. Archery, visibility and fatigue were all influenced. Teppo were ruined of course but the rest of the troops suffered as well. Wind, fog and cold were common and significant too.
