    Default secret pride

Has anyone else noticed that the "secret pride" vice comes with -2 acumen, as well as the +3 valor and -1 command that is listed with it? What a pain. Twice now I've had decent governors that I was grooming who suddenly got "secret pride". Bad enough that they lost the command bonus that their provinces gave them, but now they have little acumen, too!

    The old saying applies here:-

    "Pride comes before a fall."

Reiev him of his duties with an emissary and send him off to the Russian Front to die a glorius death. Then just get another governer. See where his pride gets him !!!

Pride can be one of the best "vices" you can get. I agree that you don't want the governor of antioch, tripoli or constantinople to have it, but i do like to see it in some SAP, JHI, VG, JomsVikings... they become a real scary force

I had a governor with 4 acumen suddenly getting secret pride. Funny thing was that the -2 acumen was not subtracted from his original value. When I checked province income it had actually increased after he got 'secret pride'. I checked a previous savegame and it appears that he got a hidden +2 acumen instead of the proper -2, and he is still listed with 4 acumen.

This was with the latest pach and no mods.

Thats wierd, I know that secret pride and pride are actually reversed with the command/acumen point subtraction (secret pride should take -2 command and acumen, pride just -1 command) but I haven't heard of that happening. Are you sure it was secret pride and not pride (which although should take command off, doesn't)?

Yeah, I like the pride vices when it's fighting unit, but was bummed to have two govenors grow it in a row. My most recent prideful dude was already up to three stars and four valor (he'd been fighting rebellions in Ireland for a while), so now he's a real killer. Off to the frontier, I guess - too bad about the steward and builder virtues. (Though I think I better send him to get some better armor first.)

My bad: The governor got 'pride', not 'secret pride'. He didn't have any command points prior to this so I couldn't check effects of that.
