Yes the illustrations aren't really that great a bother. He's not bad at drawing, it's just that his illustrations have nothing to do with the books (CoS has to be the worst, in my opinion ).
As for the mod, Myrddraal was temporarly sacked by his master and won't return until he's able to spell his name correctly: Shaidar Haran
