    The Stones considered themselves blues musicians back in the day, like Steppe said: there's a fine line between blues and rock.
    No they were an R &B group not a blues group. Now Cream there was a blues group or better yet John Mayall or the original Fleetwood Mac. THe stones were more like Chuck Berry and Little Richard than BB King.

    Janis Joplin....No I would definitely not call that 'the Blues', more Rock 'n' Roll than Blues
    I beg to differ . She is considered one of the greatest blues singers ever
