I have to disagree on Johann Cruyff being one of the greatest players ever. Not even close in my books.. He was good, really good, but not great. That's just my opinion,

I asked my brother and he was choosing between Pele and Maradona and he chose Pele. I think I agree but I'm still not sure.

heres a question, why is this called "Best soccer player ever" instead of "Best Football player ever"?
if i remember correctly only the usa officially calls it soccer still.

this is tough, really tough, pele would probably be the best ever, in my short life the best ive seen for a decent amount of time would be Eric Cantona *flicks collar up*

well people could confuse football with soccer , as you said only the Americans call it soccer, so if it were called football maybe the Americans would confuse it with american football.
as long as everybody is talking about the sport where you kick the ball with your feet in a goal then it's fine

Funny we get to name a sport were not even that good at and didnt originate here and we get to name our ownsport football. Americas power is overwhelming
