Default Competent at skinning, modeling, coding? RTR needs you!

Right now, there are roughly seven people working on the modding team for the most popular RTW mod existing. Quite simply, we're understaffed. If you like RTR, there are several areas of expertise we could use:

    1) Modeling. This is the most desperate. Right now we don't have a single real modeler. If you're even the slightest bit competent at modeling, we'd love to have you—we aren't making new models from scratch at present, so we can use you if you can even switch around equipment. If you're talented at modifying and creating models, we will beg you on our damn knees to join us!

    2) Code research. Anyone who's willing to invest time in researching less-understood files would be great. Settlements are the most important uncracked area of the game: it would be fantastic to have double walls, hill forts, defensive earthworks for besiegers, and the like. Another useful area, requiring more tolerance for boredom but less modding skill, would be simple endless testing of tweaks to see if we can get the AI to make relatively historically-composed armies (e.g., hastati-principes-triarii in a 2:2:1 ratio), or similar things.

    3) Skinning. We're completely reskinning all factions, so talented skinners are very useful to us.

    4) Historical research. For details, see this thread in the Monastery. Basically, this is just taking notes whenever you're reading a historical text, not poring through mounds of dense academic material or anything.

All dedicated modelers, skinners, and code researchers will be accorded full team status, including the right to post on team-exclusive boards and full creditation in readmes and credits.txt. Team members will be expected to provide regular reports as to the progress of their work. All other contributors will be credited in readmes and credits.txt as well, but less prominently (although historical researchers will have their names attached to any of their research we post).

We do not reserve exclusive right to works produced for RTR—if you make anything whatsoever for us, you're free to share it with anyone you want, whenever you want, and you don't have to mention us at all.

If you're interested, post here or otherwise contact me. We value any contributions you'd be willing to make.
