Default The pot calling the kettle black

Im sorry I cant let this go.

I made a joke asking Capo

    Are you excited ?
    Craterus replies

    Quote:
    Are you excited ?

I wouldn't be. It sounds bad.
Obviously not realizing what im speaking of.

    So I jokling add

I wouldn't be. It sounds bad.

It obvioulsy went over your head. Maybe thats for the better.
He then gets all bent out of shape and replies

Maybe you should shut up. If you look a little closer to the posts you'll notice Templar Knight posted just before me and I was replying in response to your comment, not his. I've edited my post to convey this.

P.S. Shut up Gaywain of Orkeny
If he was obviously responding to TKs post why did he quote me in that post? And was there a need to insult me?

    Then when I tell him

No need for hostitlity over a joke. Its not easy to know who you were replying too. Although this dosent rate a warning Im sure the mods here store littlre things like this away in their memory. These little slips add up and sooner or later have a tendency to catch up to you. Me and Jag used to bait eachothe constantly untill the mods had enough and we both paid the price. Lighten up.
    He comes back with

It was just a bit of banter mate. A little remark from you merited another from me... but that's how arguments start so I won't be respond in the future in case of my warning level

So because he missed a joke and it went over his head he feltt the need to insult me.

He then keeps it up with this

Looking at it now, it is pretty funny...
He then has the gaul to say

The maturity thing - another sign of immaturity is when one fails to take a joke..
Who was it who initialy couldnt take a joke?

    And further adds

Where I live, a snide remark merits one in return so that's what I did.
So now saying a joke went over your head is a snide and insulting remark. First make your posts more clear, dont quote me when your answering someone elses post.

    Secondly grow up.

Well, you put it out there so I'll tell you what I think. As far as I'm concerned, you're just as guilty as the other guy in this and many other situations. You're notorious for not being able to let something go, diggin' and diggin' until you piss someone off, and for making "insulting" comments followed by a smiley, which I guess in your eyes makes it ok, given how often you've used that as an excuse. Do you really think we're too stupid to know what's really going down?

There are those who enjoy baiting, and then there are those that remind me of the little kid with a pencil, poking the kid in the desk in front of him until he loses it. Thing is, I'll bet Craterus is less than 20 years old--you are not.

    Two words ... .

What is the point of posting this in here? What are you trying to achieve?

    Exactly

I have a hard time believing that you've brought this to the Watchtower because your delicate sensitivities have been offended.

I just was upset that the last thread was closed on such a note without me having a fair say. I dont go out to intentionaly insult anyone unless they start it. Since I learned my lesson with Jag a want to nip this in the bud before it gets out of hand. I will not sit back and be insulted. Maybe this wasnt the place to post though. Point taken.

To be fair Gawain , I thought his telling you to 'shut up' was uncalled for.

Hehe kevitirae ... those weren't the words to which I was refering .... Gawain actually used the words I was thinking of in his initial post. I can't believe you took the time to count them . With my posts, that can add up to a LOT of counting .

Peace Gawain. I understand how you feel m8, but sometimes it's best to just let the little things go--particularly when it's over something silly and there's nothing to gained by engaging. If it was over a sensitive topic I could understand, but that situation seemed like a petty squabble to me. You have worthy opponents with whom to duel, over worthy topics.

If you want an apology, I'll have to think about it..

Ok yeah, the Shut up was uncalled for, sorry.

I'm not apologising for the typo.

The 'shut up' was indeed uncalled for seeing as Gawain's 'are u excited' followed by - was a sarcastic reply to Capo/Kaisers post, which Craterus thought was a 'real question'

Indeed. The problem is I dont see this as a petty squabble. The shut up thing I can take but the Gaywain is a whole different matter. I in no way insulted him unless saying you missed a joke is baiting and insulting. But to insinuate a straight person is gay is a deliberate bait and insult. Especailly when the said persons stance on this subject is well known. Again it goes back to what makes an insult and in this case theres no doubt of the intentions. To top it off he still contunues

I'm not apologising for the typo.
It wasnt a typo. Its a sad state of affairs when I get lambasted by those who think being gay is normal and hongy dorey for reffering to dominate gay females as dykes but it seems that being called gay is now a compliment here it seems. There was no need for any of his remarks and besides that Ive shown hes full of BS on the entire matter.

The “shut up” doesn’t quite equate with “are you excited”, even if Craterus was actually referred to.

If someone insults you, you don’t insult him back, you complain to the mods.

I saw the “shut up” part and reported a bad post, since my magic wand doesn’t work in the Watchtower.

As far as the Backroom goes, no one says to anyone “shut up” without getting warned (“verbally”, at least). I don’t care who says it to whom, the same rules apply to all. It simply isn’t polite, to say the least. So any shut-ups will be swiftly dealt with in Backroom.

The shut up really didnt bother me It was why he said it and the following remarks. Much to do about nothing.

If the shut up didn't bother you, what is the point of this entire thread?

Hey, if I misunderstood your little joke and took offense from it, i'm sorry. Sometimes something called temper comes into your mind and you retaliate... Everyone has a temper; my temper is just shorter than others.

So Gawain, what do you want to happen? You want me to receive a warning level or what? Cos I'd rather you got it over with and told the mods how you'd like them to respond. I'm pretty bored of this little tiff, so whenever you are ready...

Well maybe its the Gaywain. Or the fact that the jokw was pointed at Capo and you took offense because I said you missed it or maybe how you claimed your reply was to Capo but you quoted me or maybe it was your claim that those who cant take a joke are imature when you were the first to take offense.

Thanks thats all I wanted, case closed. Ive been known to lose it myself.

Ok cool, no hard feelings? I don't think I quoted you by the way but I don't want to start it up again.
