    Default Disloyal General

I have a disloyal 5 star general. I have heard that it would be good to try him for treason or as a heretic or assassinate him, etc.

What happens if you just disband his unit?

    The entire unit is lost.

TBH I disband a lot. If you disband you lose the entire unit, as opposed to trying the gen for treason or frying him as a heretic or assassinating him, where you keep the unit but lose the gen.

If you want to keep the gen alive, drop an emissary to remove any titles. If he's disloyal, but him in the King's stack.

If the gen is a 5 star peasant (or other unit without appeal) then simply disband.

When you say he is disloyal, does he have a vice or just low loyalty? If he is worth keeping maybe you can get his loyalty up a little with titles or perhaps, give him your little girl's hand.

He was once a prince but became a regular royal knight when his brother's son came of age so the unit is 20 Royal Knights which I can't replace yet.

His best atribute is command 5. The rest are loyalty 2, piety 2, dread 2, acumen 3. He is a Great Warrior giving him +5 health. Unfortunarely he is also a Sybarite giving -2 valour leaving him with 1 valour.

I think I'll keep him around with the King until I can get a Princess for him to marry.

    Thanks for the advice Ichi.

Yup if he is with the kings stack I don't think he can start up trouble with civil wars and such. Just make sure your king has a influence at or over 4 and things will slowly improve.

You could always just give him a title that bumps up loyalty and hope his loyalty keeps going up, especially after he marries into "The Family."

But as soon as the King dies the general will loose loyalty again IIRC.
