New map problems

As I recall, the pink is caused when a part of the map is not part of a known region.

Have you followed any of the tutorials that are around?

And which of the text files have you edited? The full map showing might be caused by the dimensions in descr_terrain.txt, or the 'campaign ...' near the top of descr_strat.txt

i believe the problem is that on youre map_ground_types. you have colors on there which are incorrect. or rather colors the game does not recognize as an appriate ground type.

Could you post images of the tga files?
The position of the two cities in the corner is really strange.
I found sometimes an error message saying the position for a settlement was incorrect (0,0), but it was due to the lack of a black pixel for that settlement or to the presence of a lost pixel of a color different from those described in descr_regions.txt (the game considered that pixel as a new region).

Nevermind. I did it again and is completely fixed. It works perfectly now. Thanks for all the help.
