Well good luck with the clan. Best perhaps to keep the clan small till MTW. Then there shud be an influx of new people online and you can invite them to join your clan.

What 'factions' do you consider eastern?

Sure, the OBVIOUS ones are:
Egyptians
Turks
Byzantines
Russians

What about the Polish?
What about the Almohad?

I think it would be easier to identify yourself as an 'Islamic' clan than an Eastern clan. The Russians won't give a squirrel's arse about the plight of the infidel Egyptians, for example, despite being both 'from the east'.

But if anybody out there is planning an Islamic clan, for the sake of good taste, please abstain from using names of groups operating in the middle east. It will only incite flame wars. (Not that there is anything wrong with that!)

Names like...
The Holy Nomads of Antioch
Berber Jihad
Crimson Camels

... are OK.

Names like...
Islamic Jihad
Jamas Venceras
Alexandria Martyrs' Brigade
Jezebollah

... are in bad taste.
