sounds good but waaaaayyyy too overcomplicated. why not just set up some regular 1v1 2v2 3v3 and 4v4 ladders, forcing clans to play in each of these is not gonna work too well i think(if its been working fine for a while plz correct me ) some clans might still have 56kers or pc`s that cant run 4v4`s i.e my brother can only do 1v1s

There are many ladders currently available to individual players and teams, but none that we know of that try to gain a measure of overall strength of the Clan. The basic concept of the WCC is fairly simple. The WCC combines the results across four different ladders to rank the Clans. The strongest Clan becomes World Champion, and the other Clans fight for the right to try and capture the title. But we wanted the WCC tourney to be more than just this, otherwise people would lose interest except for those few clans clustered near the top of the rankings. So we added "tournaments within the tournament" in the form of Ladder World Champions, non-title clan challenges, and individual player and team challenges. Even though there are these mini-tournaments, the procedures which are followed are very similar.

Because the WCC requires active participation in four ladders ranging from 1v1 to 4v4, the minimum number of active members a Clan must have in order to register for the WCC is six. Some of those players might play on only one ladder, say 1v1, while other players could play on more than one, possibly all four.

Do you have to be a well astablished clan or can you be a newcomer clan to enter?

Old clans or young, the minimum requirements for consideration are as follows:

    · A minimum of six active members with emphasis being active. Any less than this and the Clan will be unable to compete in all Ladders of the WCC Tournament and as such the Clan will be unable to accept Clan Challenges.
    · A web site is considered appropriate if your clan is established and intends to last the test of time.
    · A clan forum needs to be provided so that other clans and tournament administrators may contact your clan collectively at any given time. Having a forum is also a sign of an established clan.
    · Be known by the Total War community through gaming in the lobbies, and by having members active in community forums such as totalwar.org and totalwars.net

Even if your clan is fairly new, if you believe your clan meets these requirements, please apply by posting in our registration forum, providing any details you wish to have considered. WCC Administrators will then review and act on your request.

Eight days remain for the initial registration period for the WCC. All Clans which register by Thursday April 28th will be spread evenly throughout the ladders as the tournament gets under way. Clans registering after that date will begin the ladders at the bottom. Please visit the WCC forums at World Clan Challenge to post your registration or to ask questions of the administrators.
