They won the fairs cup(old uefa cup) in 1969 but yes it has been a long time. I would love to see them win something in my lifetime! But in order to do that fat needs to be trimmed and i can see loads of players leaving this summer.

Robert, Butt, Kluilvert, Ameobi(the biggest waste of space since the back four of 95/96 season) and a host of others haven't been good enough and deserve to get the boot. I wish Shearer would retire to be honest and i can't believe he is staying on for one more season. He was great but he is old now and can't even outrun a exhausted tortoise.
