Crimean : Total War

Hi, I have an Idea for a mod
this mod would be based around the time of the Crimean war, as this time period would be to short, i would be looking at somewhere around 1850 to about 1900 with the actual war being 1853-1856
It would include battles like the Battle of Balaklava etc

as i said this is very much a concept idea at the moment, but any opinoins are welcome, and if u wish to help me create this mod contact me

no, the napoionic wars finshed 40 years before the Crimean War

As far as I understand, Russian-turkish war on the Balkans too will be included into this period? (1877-1878)

Well, it doesn't really make much sense. You don't conquer cities other than Sevastopol in the Crimean War, so you wouldn't build them up and then recruit/build units. It just doesn't fit the mold of a Total War game where you conquer cities and build up an empire. It's just a campaign for a single peninsula.

It should not just be about the Crimean but include the German-Danish War of 1864. Austro-Prussian War of 1866. The Union wars of Italy(Giuseppe Garibaldi's time). I mean if you're going to use a map of Europe, include everything from 1835-1905. Call it The Age of the Early Rifle. When working on the Crimean aspect, remember, the Russians were still napoleonic at this time(still using muskets, much like most of moorish states). The rifle came later to them. That's why the Crimean War favored the Allies.

It would be great to have a European mod depecting the age of Concert of Europe period. I'm not sure R:TW is a great platform for it but I wish you the best of the luck.
